Most gyms lose money on retail in the same two ways. They stock too many different items and nothing gets depth, so the shelf always looks half-picked over. And they buy on impulse when a member asks for something, which means paying retail-adjacent prices for a single unit.

The fix is unglamorous. Pick the handful of items your members actually buy, order enough to hold three or four facings of each, and reorder on a schedule instead of on a shortage.

Supplement shops and health retailers

A specialist retailer has the opposite problem: the customer expects range, and range ties up cash. The way through it is to separate the stock that repeats from the stock that signals. Everyday consumables repeat and should be bought deep. Specialist items signal that you are a serious shop and should be bought shallow and reordered.

Supplement resellers and online sellers

If you sell online, three things eat the margin before the product does: shipping weight, dating that expires during your handling time, and returns on condition disputes.

Buy for weight as well as for cost, because a heavy tub with a thin margin can be unprofitable to ship no matter what you paid. Buy dating you can sell through at your real velocity, not your optimistic one. And keep the manufacturer packaging intact — sealed stock is what protects you when a buyer disputes condition after delivery.

The claims line, and why it matters most in this category

Supplements are the category where careless wording causes the most damage. The rule is simple and it does not bend: sell what the label says. If the packaging does not make a claim, your listing, your shelf talker and your staff should not make one either.

This is not a technicality. A listing pulled for a claim you added yourself is the fastest way to lose a selling account, and it happens to sellers who never intended to overstate anything. Copy the label. Stop there.

Storage, heat and why supplement stock degrades quietly

Supplement and health stock is sensitive to heat and humidity, and the damage does not announce itself. A stockroom that runs warm through the summer, a back room above a kitchen, a container of stock that sat in the sun on a loading bay — all of these shorten usable life without changing how the packaging looks.

Keep it cool, dry, off the floor and out of direct sun. If your storage cannot do that, buy shallower and more often rather than taking a large quantity you will hold through a hot month.

For a single gym, the retail shelf alone will not usually be $5,000, and it should not be. The order that works combines the retail range you will sell in the next two months with the cleaning, sanitation, washroom and personal care stock the facility consumes anyway. You get wholesale pricing on both, in one delivery, on one invoice.

Paperwork before your first order

Wholesale accounts are for businesses buying for resale. Before your first order we will ask for your EIN and a valid resale certificate for your state. Have both ready when you register — it takes minutes if the documents are to hand, and it is the step that most often delays a first order.

Ordering, payment and despatch

Orders are settled by ACH bank transfer, which is our recommended method. Wire transfer and card payment through Plastiq are available on request — contact our team and we will set that up.

Stock is despatched 3–5 business days after payment clears, from stock held in the United States, and tracking follows as soon as it ships. We supply across the USA and internationally, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia, Europe, Singapore, Korea and Japan.

No. We supply sealed manufacturer cases at wholesale.
